Privacy Policy

At Medsaala we believe privacy is important and we take it very seriously. In this document we will explain the types of personal information we receive and collect when you use Medsaala's services and websites, as well as some of the steps we take to safeguard information. This Policy applies to all of the services and websites offered by Medsaala Inc., its subsidiaries or affiliated companies (collectively, Medsaala's "Services"). We hope that this will help you in making an informed decision about sharing personal information with us.

Information collection and its use: We offer numerous Services that do not require you to register for an account or provide any personal information to us, such as Medsaala Search. In order to offer our Services, we may collect the following information:

  • Information provided by you - When you sign up for a Medsaala website, you are not required to undergo registration.But during publishing of vacancy, news, pharmaceutical list informations there, we ask you to provide personal information such as your name, address, email, phone, and an account password. For some Services, such as submitting urls and advertising programs, we may request credit card or other payment account information which we maintain in encrypted form on secure servers. We may keep the submitted information in your account with information from other Medsaala Services or third parties in order to provide you with better services. You may opt out of certain Services. 
  • Associated sites - We also offer some Services in association with other websites. Information provided by you to those sites may be sent to Medsaala in order to deliver the Services. We process such information in accordance with this Policy. The associated sites may have different privacy policies. 
  • Communications with Medsaala Inc. - When you contact Medsaala Inc., we may maintain those communications in order to process your inquiries, respond to your requests and improve our services. 
  • Login information - When you use our Services, Medsaala servers automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit a website. This information/server log may include your web request, Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request, and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser. 
  • Medsaala cookies - We use cookies (a small file containing a string of characters) to improve the quality of our Service by storing user preferences and tracking user trends, such as how people search. When you visit Medsaala website, we send one or more cookies to your computer that uniquely identifies your browser. Most browsers are originally set up to accept cookies, but you can reset your browser. 
  • Other sites - We do not take responsibility for the sites displayed as search results or links from within our various Services. This Privacy Policy applies to websites and Services that are owned and operated solely by Medsaala Inc. Other sites may place their own cookies or other files on your computer, collect data, or solicit personal information from you. 
  • Links - Medsaala may present links in a specific format that enables us to keep track of whether these links have been followed. We use this information to improve the quality of our search technology, customized content, and advertising. Medsaala processes personal information only for the purposes as described above in the Privacy Policy for specific Services. In addition to the above, other purposes include: 
  • Ensuring the technical implementation of our network
  • Research analysis and auditing in order to maintain and improve our services
  • Developing new Services.

Usually Medsaala processes Medicinal information on our servers in Nepal and in other countries. In some cases, we process personal information on a server outside your own country. We may process personal information to provide our own Services. In few cases, we might process personal information on behalf of a third party, such as our advertising partners.

Choices for personal information 

You have to provide personal information when you Contract for a specific Service that requires paper documentation. We will ask for your consent prior to the use of this information for a purpose other than the one for which it was collected. We will not use it until and unless you give us your consent. We will also offer you an effective way for opting out of the use of your personal information for purposes not stated in this Policy.

You always have a choice to decline from submitting personal information to any of our Services; in that case Medsaala may not be able to provide you those Services.

Information sharing

Medsaala will basically share medicinal information with other health professionals, patient, companies or individuals outside of Medsaala in the limited circumstances as described:

  • We require opt-in consent for the sharing of any sensitive personal information.
  • We have a good faith belief that access, use, preservation, or disclosure of such information is reasonably necessary to (a) satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request, (b) enforce applicable Terms of Service, including investigation of potential violations thereof, (c) detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues, or (d) protect against imminent harm to the rights, property, or safety of Medsaala, its users, or the public as required or permitted by law.
  • We provide such information to affiliated companies or other trusted businesses or persons, our subsidiaries for the purpose of processing personal information on our behalf. We require that these parties agree to process such information based on our instructions and in compliance with this Policy and any other appropriate confidentiality and security measures.

If Medsaala gets involved in a merger, acquisition, or any form of sale of some or all of its assets, we shall provide notice before your personal information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy. 

We may share with third parties certain pieces of aggregated, non-personal information, such as how many users clicked on a particular advertisement or the number of users who searched for a specific term or medicines or etc. Such information does not identify you individually. 

Accessing and updating personal information

At Medsaala, we make efforts to provide you access to your personal information to correct/delete inaccurate information or update data. Otherwise it is required to be retained by law or for legitimate business purposes. We ask individual users to identify themselves and the information requested to be accessed, corrected, or removed before processing such requests, and we may decline to process requests that are irrationally repetitive or systematic, require disproportionate technical effort, jeopardize the privacy of others, or is extremely impractical (for instance, requests concerning information residing on backup tapes), or for which access is not otherwise required. In any case where we provide information access and correction, we perform this service free of charge, except if doing so would require an extra effort from our side. Some of our Services have different procedures to access, correct, or delete users' personal information. 

Data integrity 

Medsaala uses personal information only for specific purposes and in accordance with this Policy or any applicable Service. We take reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information provided is accurate, complete, and up to date. However, we depend on our users to update or correct their personal information whenever necessary. We evaluate our data compilation, storage, and processing practices to ensure that we only collect, store, and process the personal information needed to provide or improve our services. 

Information security 

We take suitable security measures to protect against unauthorized access or unauthorized alteration, disclosure, or destruction of data. This includes data collection, internal reviews, security measures, storage and processing practices, as well as physical security measures to guard against unauthorized access to systems where we store 

personal data. 

Personal information access is restricted to Medsaala employees, and contractors who need that information in order to operate, develop, or improve our services. These individuals are bound by obligations to confidentiality and may possibly be subject to disciplinary actions, including termination and criminal prosecution if they fail to meet these obligations. 

Enforcement 

Medsaala regularly evaluates its Policy compliance. It is Medsaala's policy to contact the complainant regarding his or her concerns when we receive any complaints. We will work together with the appropriate regulatory authorities, including local data protection authorities, to resolve any complaint regarding the transfer of personal data that cannot be resolved between Medsaala and an individual. 

Policy Changes

Please note that this Privacy Policy may change from time to time. We will not reduce your rights under this Policy without your clear consent, and we expect most changes will be minor. In any case, we will post Policy changes on this page. For significant changes, we will present a more prominent notice
